What your toddler will do

Your toddler will paint, sing, dance, listen to stories and explore learning centers made for small hands. Art class is part of the toddler day, and your child will bring home work they made themselves.

New words every day

Teachers sing, read and talk with your toddler all day long, and your child practices using their words with teachers and friends.

Doing it themselves

Your toddler will practice washing hands, feeding themselves and cleaning up. When your child is ready for toilet learning, their teachers help them learn at school and work with you so the routine is the same at home.

Small groups, close attention

Our Toddler Room has one teacher for every six children. Teachers assess your toddler’s development through the year and meet with you for a conference at least three times.

The first few weeks

We take the first weeks at your child’s pace, whether your toddler is new to school or joining from our Baby Room. We recommend a few hours on each of the first two days, then a little longer each day that week. Each morning, your child’s teacher welcomes them in and helps them say goodbye, and the same routine follows every day.

What to bring

Diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, a crib sheet for your child’s cot and a blanket, all labeled with your child’s name.
