Teach in a school where you plan your own classroom.

Child coloring a Fire Safety Week page

Our mission for our team

Our mission is to give children the best care and the best environment to learn and grow, physically and intellectually. As part of our team, you make that happen every day, in a safe, nurturing classroom built around the children in it.

Teaching through the arts

We teach through art, music and play, using Creative Curriculum. As a teacher here, you choose the topics for your own classroom and write your weekly lesson plans. You set up learning centers, lead small groups and circle time, and turn a painting, a song or a block tower into a lesson in language, math or working with a friend. You assess each child’s progress through the year and share it with families at conferences.

What makes The Art Learning Center a great place to work

We are a close team in a school that has served East Stroudsburg families since 1995. You are trusted to run your classroom, and you have leaders nearby who have done the job themselves.

  • An owner who has been part of the school for 14 years and is here every day
  • A director who was a classroom teacher
  • The freedom to plan lessons around the children in your room
  • A Keystone STAR 3 program that invests in your training
  • Families who see you as a partner in their child’s education

What your day looks like

You welcome children and families in the morning, share breakfast and lead your class through learning centers, small-group activities, circle time, arts and crafts and outdoor play. You talk with parents at drop-off and pickup, keep them updated through Remind and work alongside your teaching team all day.
