Your child’s routine, continued at school

Tell us how your child eats, sleeps and likes to be soothed, and their teachers will follow it. With one teacher for every four infants and one for every five young toddlers, your child is held, talked to and cared for throughout the day.

What your child will do

Your child’s day includes music and movement, story time, small-group activities and play indoors and outdoors. These early experiences build language, strength and curiosity.

How you will follow your child’s growth

Teachers assess your child’s development through the year and meet with you for a conference at least three times.

Care that fits your workday

The Baby Room is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, all year.

The first few weeks

Before your child starts, you are welcome to come in, see the room and spend time with the teachers who will care for them. We recommend a few hours on each of the first two days, then a little longer each day that week, so your child eases into a full day.

What to bring

Diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, a crib sheet and a blanket, all labeled with your child’s name.

Come meet your child’s teachers

Visit the Baby Room during the day and bring every question you have.
